Container Bar: Up-Cycled Design is Coming to Rainey St

Bridget Dunlap has done it again; the reigning queen of Rainey Street businesses has ventured into relatively new territory, and has set out to open a new bar on Rainey Street constructed from seven different up-cycled shipping containers.

Enlisting the work of North Arrow Studios (Violet Crown Cinema, Mettle, and Hangar Lounge) for the design – the containers will be configured in a way that will create an 8,000 square foot space with indoor areas, a large outdoor bar, and several spacious balconies for mingling while drinking.

Each of the containers will be fitted with a different interior finishing material – from mosaic tile, to rubber, to tongue and groove wood – giving each area its own distinct atmosphere and vibe.

Scheduled to open toward the end of 2013 (November), the Container Bar – with its modern design and bright, open aesthetic – should be a welcome new hangout for this year’s holiday celebrations.
