Walkable Houston: Where to Eat in the MUSEUM DISTRICT and MONTROSE

Where to Eat

Niko Niko’s is a Greek institution in Houston and definitely deserves a lunch visit. Indika features fresh, creative Indian cuisine for brunch, lunch and dinner. Re-energize between shops or museums at coffee shops like Agora or Inversion, which both host food trucks outside.

James Beard Award winner Chris Shepherd at Underbelly serves soulful nose-to-tail cuisine

For those full days spent at the MFA, food trucks pull up outside the sculpture garden each day from 11am-3pm. For dinner, James Beard Award winner Chris Shepherd at Underbelly serves soulful nose-to-tail cuisine inspired by the plethora of ethnicities found in Houston. The Pass & Provisions is a restaurant with a dual personality: The Pass specializes in flawless haute cuisine, while Provisions serves up fun, shareable gastropub creations.
