June 12

Canopy 2nd Annual Grand Opening Party


Canopy, a creative community in East Austin, is now 2 years old and is hosting a party with food, drinks, and art to celebrate. Welcome new faces in the amazing new studio/retail spaces, and enjoy drinks by Deep Eddy Vodka, food from the El Cubico Taco Truck, a silent auction benefiting local non-profit LifeWorks, an Annie Ray Photo Booth, and music from DJ Khary Alexander of Dub Academy. Guests will be able to tour the studios and newly added retail spaces in all of the Canopy buildings. 7pm – 10pm.

June 14



Live music, sidewalk chalk, water activities and bubbles are all a part of the third annual Bubblepalooza at the Long Center. This year will include an appearance by a T-Rex from ERTH’s Dinosaur Zoo Live, as well as kid-friendly music by SeVana Marimba, Elizabeth McQueen and The Invincible Czars.

June 14

Scootenanny at Scoot Inn


The Historic Scoot Inn will host a mini music festival featuring Austin artists: Neon Indian (DJ Set), Orthy, the Octopus Project (check out Citygram’s feature on them), Night Drive, Holiday Mountain and many more. Tickets are just $30 for the entire party (available here), which starts at 4pm. VIP tickets are available for $15 extra, and include an after party with DJ sets from Learning Secrets and Wrestlers, a Scoot Inn t-shirt and poster, preferred viewing, a private lounge and free skee-ball games.

June 14

Austin Makers Pop-up at West Elm


Austin makers Canoe Leather Goods, Fail Jewelry and Leah Duncan Textiles will be together at West Elm here in Austin on June 14th for a pop up shop. The event runs from 12-4pm and there will be refreshments and a chance to meet the makers and see their latest works.

June 15

Father’s Day BOND- ing at Paramount

$31 advance tickets

Treat Dad to a double feature at Paramount Theater this Sunday, where they’ll be screening James Bond films, serving specialty hot dogs from Frank, and a complimentary martini or beer. Guests can pick a double feature of either ‘From Russia With Love’ and ‘Goldfinger,’ or ‘Goldeneye’ and ‘The Spy Who Loved Me.’ Tickets are available here or by calling the box office at (512) 474-1221.

June 16

Indie Chefs Table at Foreign & Domestic

$100- table seat/$125 counter seat

Celebrated pastry chef, Bill Corbett, of the Absinthe Group in San Francisco will collaborate with Foreign & Domestic’s Ned Elliott at this Indie Chef’s Table. The Indie Chef’s Table is a monthly event where Foreign & Domestic invites nationally recognized chefs to host a 45-minute Q&A session followed by a seven course meal. Three of the courses will be prepared by the visiting chef, with the other’s prepared by Foreign & Domestic. Reserve your spot here, as seats are limited!

June 18

Sound & Cinema at the Long Center


On Wednesday, presenters Do512 and the Alamo Drafthouse with the Long Center will again begin hosting the Austin summertime favorite: Sound & Cinema. Bands will perform a tribute to the movie before it is shown on a giant inflatable screen on the Long Center’s expansive City Terrace. The event is always free and this week the Long Center will screen ‘The Three Amigos’ with music by Crooks.
