11th Annual Emerging Leaders Cocktail

Starting at $35

Featuring bites from the East Side King and The Soup Peddler, an open bar and a silent auction, this event will benefit the Eastside Community Connection. The ECC supports East Austin’s low-income residents who face issues of food security, unemployment and access to education. David Ansell, entrepreneur and owner of the Soup Peddler will be this year’s honorary chair.

Feb. 28

Peached Tortilla Vintage Pop-Up Dinner


Help the Peached Tortilla select menu items for its upcoming restaurant and catering business at Friday’s pop-up dinner. Sample dishes while giving the chefs your feedback for its restaurant, which is scheduled to open in Fall 2014. This month’s dinner will feature Asian inspired cocktails by Dripping Springs Vodka and florals by Bird Dog Wedding.

March 2

Southern Fried Sunday Residency with the Nightowls


This colorful, 9-piece, Austin-based soul band will have you movin’ and groovin’ until you’ve forgotten you have to go to work the next day. Enjoy some refreshing house-made sangria and free chicken and waffles while you get down with the Nightowls this Sunday afternoon at Icenhauer’s backyard patio.

March 2

South Austin Brewery 2nd Anniversary Party

$25/advance, $30/door

Grab some friends (four-legged ones welcome too) and head to South Austin Brewery Sunday for its 2nd anniversary party, featuring live music from the Lost Gonzo band and South Austin’s La Tampiquena. Sample the brewery’s latest and classic beers and grab a bit to eat at its food trucks. Ticekts include adminssion, a souvenir glass and beer ticket.

ABC Zilker Kite Festival


Did you know that Zilker Park is home to America’s oldest continuous kite festival? The 86th annual event will feature kite making workshsops, flying demonstrations, contests, and food vendors that include: Amy’s Ice Cream, Chilantro BBQ, Rita’s Water Ice, and more.
