Jo’s 16th Annual Easter Pet Parade and Costume Contest

This Saturday at Jo’s, dress up your furry friend in your funkiest gear for a good cause and for a chance to win awesome prizes including a night at Hotel San Jose, Jo’s gift cards, and other cool doggie stuff. Proceeds benefit Austin Pets Alive! and will include a lot of free family activities. Attendance is free, and participation for the costume contest is $10.

texas vegfest

Texas VegFest

Free

Texas VegFest is back for its 4th year to educate Texans through public activities, events, and educational outreach about the benefits of a plant-based diet. The festival will take place at Fiesta Gardens on Lady Bird Lake, and will include a variety of speakers, local and national vendors, youth activities, food, craft beer, and live music.

KUTX Uncle Billy’s Live Music Series

Just in time for spring, Uncle Billy’s is introducing their KUTX Live music series, beginning this Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. DJ Mixer Rogers will be playing music from 2-4, and The Digital Wild will be going on at 4. It will be going on every Sunday and is a great way to socialize, be outdoors, and enjoy some craft beer while listening to local tunes!

Fusebox Festival

Free, but registration is necessary!

Fusebox is a 12 day festival happening from April 1-12, with 50+ events in 20+ different sites around the city. Think of Fusebox as a “hybrid art festival” – part performance, part film, part music and visual arts, part culinary and social, part public art project, and everything in between. With a goal of celebrating the arts of Austin, it focuses on conversation, exploration, education, artist support, and education. Fusebox is a non-profit organization, so attendance is free, but registration to the events is necessary.
