Each Saturday during the summer, Save Our Springs Alliance hosts a free yoga session outside the back gate of Barton Springs pool. The one-hour class begins at 9:30am. Just bring your yoga mat, and a water bottle and a swimsuit if you plan to take a dip afterwards.
If you’re a lager lover, you won’t want to miss the first and largest collection of locally brewed lagers at Billy’s on Burnet. Sample 15 different beers specially brewed from Austin Beerworks, Big Bend Brewing, Hops & Grain, Independence, Live Oak, Oasis TX Brew Co. and Real Ale Brewing. Iron & Wine will be the musical centerpiece of the 5th annual benefit concert at the Paramount Theater. The event supports the Midwives Alliance of North America, an organization that seeks to improve the quality of health care for women, babies and communities. Singer/songwriter, Sam Beam, on tour in support of his recently released album, “Ghost on Ghost,” is sure to deliver an enchanting performance. Tickets available here.
This music series, presented by Thorny Rose Wines, Hail a Cab and the Austin Music Foundation will bring husband and wife hip-hop duo, Riders Against the Storm, to the 2nd Street District this Monday. Enjoy free music, bites from La Condesa and giveaways from 5-7pm.
This week the Long Center and Alamo Drafthouse will present ‘The Pink Panther’ on a huge inflatable screen, with music by the Jeff Lofton Quartet. The event is free and starts at 6pm; just bring your blankets or chairs.
