October 2

ACLTV 40th Anniversary Pop-Up Concert


ACLTV, the home of the longest-running music series in American TV history, is turning 40 and they’re throwing a free concert to celebrate! Austin’s own Dana Falconberry will put on a solo performance at 12pm, with some of the city’s best food trucks (Burro Cheese Kitchen, Dock & Roll, Tapas Bravas) serving lunch. Free frozen banana halfsies will be available from Bananarchy, a photobooth from On the Flipside, and a drawing to win passes to the Sam Smith ACL TV taping later that night. Just RSVP for entry!

October 3-4

First Friday at Canopy Creative Arts Complex


Take advantage of an opportunity to tour the Canopy Arts Complex studios. Every first Friday, the creatives open the doors of their spaces to the public for an enriching evening enjoying the arts. The studios will open at 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and the tours will continue until 10pm. RSVP here.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch 30th Birthday

FREE (Must be 21+ to attend)

In celebration of Cinnamon Toast Crunch’s 30th anniversary, Switf’s Attic will be hosting a sweet and savory brunch menu, prepared by chef Callie Speer. The menu will feature Johnny Cakes with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Chicken Sausage & Butternut Squash Puree, Pork Loin with Parsnip Puree, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Baked Apples, Bacon Cinnamon Rolls, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Streusel. ACL Weekend 1

Single-day passes are now sold out, but 3-day VIP, platinum and student passes are stll on sale for Austin’s annual Austin City Limits music festival, featuring over 130 bands and artists from around the globe at Zilker Park. This year’s headliners include: Eminem, Pearl Jam, Outkast, Skrillex, Beck and many, many more. Tickets available here.

Comedy Night at the Buzzmill


Enjoy comedy from local Austin comedians at the Buzz Mill every Wednesday night at 9. Grab some friends, a tasty cocktail or craft brew and get in a few laughs. $1 PBR and $3 drafts and bottles will be on special so that you can enjoy a low-cost but fun weeknight out.
