The Edible Austin Chef Auction allows guests to bid on personal dinner experiences prepared by some of Austin’s hottest chefs. Bid on multi-course dinners from the people behind Ramen Tatsu-Ya, Dai Due, LaV, Barlata, Odd Duck, and raise money for nonprofits Sustainable Food Center and Urban Roots.
Todd Duplechan of Lenoir will teach a knife skills class Thursday from 6-7pm that will inform on hand placement, assessing knife sharpness and different types of cuts. Knives for this class will be provided. Reserve your spot here.
Single-day and 3-day passes are now sold out, but 3-day VIP and platinum passes are stll on sale for Austin’s annual Austin City Limits music festival, featuring over 130 bands and artists from around the globe at Zilker Park. This year’s headliners include: Eminem, Pearl Jam, Outkast, Skrillex, Beck and many, many more. Tickets available here.

Red River’s Holy Mountain is celebrating its second anniversary this Thursday with Mike and the Moonpies, Not in the Face and DJ Mel providing the tunes, and Bob King (formerly of East Side Show Room) and General Manager of Holy Mountain James Taylor creating a special cocktail menu. Just RSVP for free admission, and enjoy the music and drink specials all night beginning at 9pm.
Can’t make it to ACL, but still want to see some good music this weekend? Check out Ditch the Fest at Empire Control Room & Garage, which will host more than 20 bands all day long, including local acts, Holiday Mountain, Magna Carda and Otis the Destroyer.
Spend your Sunday afternoon on Marianna and Jason Peeler’s farm in Floresville, Tex., taking in the views of the hill country and farm animals, sipping craft cocktails by Jeret Pena of the Brooklynite and feasting on a meal with desserts by Elise Broz of Biga on the Banks.
